Harbour tour
The harbour cruise Amsterdam offers a unique view of the port, with views of locations usually only accessible to the shippers. The cruise crosses the place where the cacao for our chocolate is stored, Koopman's Car Terminal, where we might even spot a big RoRo ship, and across multiple other terminals and companies that work on the energy transition and circulair economy.
The ships
We sail on one of the vessels of Amsterdam Boat Cruises.
All vessels of Amsterdam Boat Cruises are 100% electric, covered (the windows and most of the roof can be opened), heated, and equipped with a small onboard toilet. With our quiet electric propulsion, we navigate in an environmentally friendly way and contribute to a cleaner and more sustainable city.
This allows you to experience the harbor and the city in a comfortable and responsible way, in complete tranquility and without emissions.

Dates and times
The harbor cruise departs from Overhoeksplein, next to the well-known A’DAM Tower (the tower with the swings on the roof).
The cruise lasts a total of 2.5 hours.
Next to regular cruises, you can book special boat trips as well:
- Educational cruises for schools
- Themed cruises about cacao, circularity and automotive logistics
- Harbour cruises included with brunch or drinks
You can find more information about dates and times via the website of Amsterdam Boat Cruises.
Amsterdam and the port
The harbour cruise is a cooperation between Amports, Amsterdam Boat Cruises and Port of Amsterdam. We have worked together to get as many residents of Amsterdam and the metropolis region introduced to the port of Amsterdam. To show them what role the port has for the city.
